Improved Heat Transfer in W-Baffled Air-Heat Exchangers with Upper-Inlet and Lower-Exit

In the current study, this way was adopted numerically in order to optimize performance of a HEC through use extended solid sections form 'W' (W-baffles: WBs). All limit conditions channel have been defined, with all thermo-physical properties HTF (heat transfer fluid) used. The FVM (Finite-Volume-Method) has some necessary numerical schemes give solution, which allows us visualize dynamically flow filed and deduce energetic characteristics contained by HE. Dynamically, velocity at outlet section reached about 1.812 m/s, case lowest Re value. While, it passed 4.8 m/s largest value same variable, i.e. 1.726 4.648 times better than Uin within limits numbers Thermally, areas very hight TGs (temperature gradients) were observed near top deflector’s sides, reflects effect W-baffles. This highlights importance obstacles changing best.
